Find your child's studio

Each of our six studios is designed around the developmental stage of the children inside it — the pace, the materials, and the kinds of experiences on offer.

As children grow, they move through the studios, carrying relationships and learning with them. But the following age ranges are a guide, not a deadline. Every child moves through our studios at their own pace, and transitions are planned thoughtfully and always in close conversation with families.

Studio names are drawn from the Yugambeh language of the Mununjali people, on whose Country we learn and play.

Age Groups

1 - Borobi studio

6 weeks – 18 months

We follow each infant’s individual rhythm for nourishment, rest and wakeful moments, valuing unhurried, respectful care with an educator who builds a genuine relationship and deep understanding of your child.

  • Sensory play with water, light, natural textures and sound

  • Music, movement and language-rich interactions

  • Supported movement on natural surfaces, allowing infants to develop at their own pace with trust and confidence

  • Daily gentle outdoor time — fresh air, birdsong, grass underfoot

2 - Guran studio

1 year – 30 months

Building predictability within our day supports this age group in feeling anchored in safety and security, while plenty of physical freedom and sensory-rich, hands-on materials give them room to investigate.

  • Loose parts play — stacking, sorting, filling, pouring

  • Paint, clay, water, mud play, hands-on exploration and embodied learning in action

  • Simple construction with blocks and natural materials

  • Songs, stories and back-and-forth conversations with educators

3 - Karil studio

18 months – 2 years

Our educators support children to name and move through feelings, while making sure there's plenty children can do, choose and decide for themselves.

  • Role play and dramatic play with real-world props

  • Clay and dough for hands-on tactile exploration

  • Collaborative building — cardboard, blocks, found materials

  • Planting, watering and simple gardening alongside educators

4 - Muni studio

30 months – 3 years

Experiences in Muni are built around children's own investigations — following the thread of what they're actually curious about rather than a predetermined plan.

  • Inquiry provocations — collections, magnifying, simple experiments

  • Collaborative construction that builds across days, not just one session

  • Mark making, drawing and early storytelling

  • Imaginative play with open-ended, flexible materials

5 - Murun studio

3 years – 5 years

Educators build on children's own questions to drive learning that develops real confidence, resilience and identity — not just a checklist of school-readiness skills.

  • Long-form inquiry projects revisited across days and weeks

  • Art studio sessions — charcoal, oil pastels, clay, collage

  • Literacy and numeracy through real, meaningful contexts

  • Collaborative problem solving, negotiation and shared decision making

6 - Karang studio

4 – 6 years

Karang is our approved kindergarten program delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher, aligned to the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG). It's inquiry-led and play-based — because children who love learning arrive at school ready for it.

  • Deep inquiry projects linked to QKLG outcomes

  • Art studio with professional-grade materials

  • Literacy and numeracy woven through play and real investigation

  • Thoughtful, supported transition-to-school preparation

One day each week, Karang children also have the opportunity to leave the studio entirely. Our Jagun Bush Kindy program takes small groups onto Mununjali Country with dedicated educators who are bush kindy trained and forest school certified — learning on the land, through the land. It's one of the things that makes our kindy genuinely unlike any other.
