Starting here is the beginning of something good

We know choosing a childcare centre is one of the bigger decisions you'll make as a parent. We take that seriously, which is why we've made the process as clear, supported and unhurried as possible.

Here's exactly what to expect, from your first visit to your child's first day.

Four steps to getting started

1. Enquire now

You can access our enquiry form here.

2. Come in for a tour

When a spot becomes available, we’ll be in touch to organise a centre tour — a chance to explore the environment, meet our educators and learn more about our approach.

3. Set up your Child Care Subsidy

If you haven't already, now is the time to confirm your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlement through Services Australia. This is done through your myGov account linked to Centrelink — our team can help point you in the right direction if you're not sure where to start.

For kindy-age children enrolling in our Karang Studio, Queensland Kindy funding also applies. This is applied directly to your fees — our admin team handles the paperwork and will walk you through it.

4. Orientation and your child's first day

Before your child's first day, we invite families to come for an orientation visit. This gives your child the chance to explore the studio, meet their educators and start building familiarity with the rhythm of the day — all with you alongside them.

You'll then receive a welcome pack and family handbook via email, along with your OWNA login (our family communication platform where learning updates, weekly threads and progress summaries are shared).

Settling in takes time, we know that

The first few weeks are a period of growing trust — for your child, for your family and for our educators. Some children settle quickly. Others take longer, and that's completely normal. We don't rush the process.

We encourage families to call during the day, particularly in the early weeks. We'll put you directly through to your child's educator. And if you'd like us to call you with an update, just ask. Connection between home and the centre is part of how children settle well.
